This simple turmeric and ginger latte is spicy and warming with just a hint of sweetness. It’s anti-inflammatory and great for digestion.
2 tablespoons fresh turmeric root (grated)
1 tablespoon fresh ginger root (grated)
1.5 cups coconut milk
1 teaspoon cinnamon
Maple syrup or raw honey to taste (or a soaked date)
Pinch of black pepper
Add turmeric, ginger and black pepper to coconut milk and refrigerate overnight.
Heat on stove until warm and add cinnamon and sweetener.
Blend until frothy. (Be sure to remove the center of your blender lid to allow steam to escape!)
